The Mayflower Pilgrims of 1620 believed Prayer was very important.

PSALM 100
Elder William Brewster c. 1566–10 April 1644 , who became the preacher at the Plymouth Colony used this Psalm of Thanksgiving, when they landed on November 9, 1620, at Cape Cod, Massachusetts
The Pilgrims used the Geneva Bible and not the King James Bible.
This is the exact text Elder Brewster used:
Psalm 100 – 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

100 1 He exhorteth all to serve the Lord, 3 who hath chosen us, and preserved us, 4 and to enter into his assemblies to praise his Name.
A Psalm of praise.

1 Sing ye loud unto the Lord, all the earth.

2 Serve the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyfulness.

3 Know ye that even the Lord is God; he hath made us, and not we ourselves: we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter into his gates with praise, and into his courts with rejoicing: praise him and bless his Name.

5 For the Lord is good: his mercy is everlasting, and his truth is from generation to generation.

Footnotes:

Psalm 100:1 He prophecieth that God’s benefit in calling the Gentiles shall be so great, that they shall have wonderful occasion to praise his mercy and rejoice.
Psalm 100:3 He chiefly meaneth, touching the spiritual regeneration, whereby we are his sheep and people.
Psalm 100:4 He showeth that God will not be worshipped, but by that means which he hath appointed.
Psalm 100:5 He declareth that we ought never to be weary in praising him, seeing his mercies towards us last forever.

If you are truly Thankful with your Life and everything you have been Blessed With, it is important to praise God in Church this Sunday at 10:00 am at Grace or at a church nearby in your city or town. Always be thankful with the gifts you have been given. Not everyone is as blessed as you are. If you would like to help Grace Church feed the poor, you can donate here. God Bless You.

    Wesley’s Covenant Prayer

Traditional
I am no longer my own, but thine.
Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed for thee or laid aside for thee,
exalted for thee or brought low for thee.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.
And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,

thou art mine, and I am thine.
So be it.
And the covenant which I have made on earth,
let it be ratified in heaven.
